Giant Rats are aggressive rodents of a very low level. They are among the weakest creatures in Tamriel. Giant Rats can be found in sewers, mines, ruined forts, abandoned buildings, halls of the dead and caves. They have no outstanding strengths, nor weaknesses, but they are vectors of almost all the types of diseases.

They can be found sometimes also on nordic dungeons, but this is rare cus Draugrs seems to do not like them because their high proliferation and destructive behaviour, who puts the draugr's dungeon organization and routine at risk.

Forsworn also does not allow them on their camps, but some bandits seems to have some living with them on caves, probably as guards or pets, or maybe food resource. Riekliengs do the same on Solstheim.

They do not co-exist with Skeevers, each one inhabit one type of place. On Ratway, Skeevers are replaced now by Giant Rats. There is the only placed when skeevers were replaced by Giant Rats.
